Woman charged with murder after her boyfriend’s body is found submerged in a canal

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A woman has been charged with murder after the body of her boyfriend was found submerged in a car underway in east Harris County.

Investigators say Fransha Brooks initially reported her boyfriend Jonathan Tisby missing on Tuesday. She explained that Tisby had given a friend a ride home the night before. And on the following morning, she received a call from him, heard arguing then the phone call dropped. From then she was unable to successfully reach him.

However, events shifted after Brooks confessed to shooting a man multiple times then proceeding to drive his car into a canal near Jones and Thompson road.

Following a two-day search, authorities were able to uncover the vehicle and Tisbys body inside.

Brooks was booked into Harris County Jail and charged with murder.
