Man killed for holding a couple hostage in North Houston

HOUSTON – A man has been taken into custody for further questioning after fatally shooting another man he alleges held him and wife hostage for days in north Houston.

The shooting took place in the 200 block of Rosamond Street. Inside the apartment, officers located a 40-year-old man deceased with a gunshot wound to the head.

The shooting suspect informed authorities that the victim had been staying at his apartment for a few days. 

He said the guest allegedly started taking drugs then forced the man and his wife to remain in their home, by holding them hostage at gunpoint.

An investigating is ongoing in this incident.
