North Houston church catches fire overnight

HARRIS COUNTY– A church and an attached home sustained damage follwing a heavy fire in North Houston. 

Investigators believe it was started by homeless individuals attempting to stay warm during the overnight freeze.

The fire was reported at Emmanuel Deliverance Temple in the 4700 block of Littlecrest.

Westfield Fire Department crews were able to gain control of the fire within 15 minutes. According to the Harris County Fire Marshal’s the individuals who started the fire fled before units’ arrival.

There were no injuries reported in the incident.
