U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday (March 30) signed an extension to a federal government program that provides forgivable loans to small businesses to enable their owners to maintain workers’ payrolls while navigation the economic uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Without me signing this bill, there are hundreds of thousands of people who could lose their jobs, and small family businesses that might close forever,” Biden said at a brief signing ceremony in the Oval Office.
