Protesters burn face masks in Idaho

Protesters in Idaho in the United States burned face masks on Saturday (March 6) in a demonstration against coronavirus restrictions.

Many gathered in front of the Idaho State Capitol to show their contempt for the lockdown orders.

Police said there were no arrests and the organisers of the rally had permits, but an investigation was underway as a fire had been started.

According to Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center, the state of Idaho registered 8,366 new COVID-19 cases in the past month.
