VIVA AEROBUS, STARS NEW NONSTOP SERVICE FROM HOUSTON TO LEON

Viva Aerobus, Mexico´s ultra-low-cost-carrier, will begin flying from Houston to Leon (Guanajuato, Mexico), starting on May 2nd. Tickets are already on sale with one-way fares starting from USD $105. Moreover, committed to Texas´s air connectivity, Viva also announced today its new nonstop service between San Antonio and Leon.

This new service between Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Guanajuato International Airport will operate 4 weekly flights scheduled on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. These flights will be operated on a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, being the youngest fleet in Mexico and 2nd youngest fleet in North America.

“We are pleased to welcome, once again, Viva Aerobus to Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport with a new service to Guanajuato, Mexico.” Houston Airports Aviation Director, Mario Diaz said. “We look forward to provide, together, an exceptional customer experience taking care of passengers’ satisfaction well-being in a safe environment.”

“We are very excited about this latest launch by Viva Aerobus.  They are contributing to the incredibly fast recovery of the Mexican leisure traveler to Houston.  In fact, Mexico is recovering at the fastest rate of any international market for Houston.  We continue to wish Viva Aerobus success as we slowly start the return to normal”, said Jorge Franz, Senior Vice President, Tourism and Industry Relations for Houston First Corporation.

Currently, Viva offers more than 20 international routes to the US and it will land once again in Houston with a renewed commitment to passengers’ health and well-being through its compressive program called Viva Contigo, aimed at providing a safe journey, flexibility, and low fares. Therefore, Viva has established disciplined hygiene and prevention protocols including additional disinfection processes in aircraft, luggage, and common areas, safe distance guidelines, mandatory use of face masks, among many other actions.

Moreover, regarding passenger and booking flexibility, Viva Aerobus recently announced a new policy of permanently eliminating change fees. Passengers who require changing route, date, or schedule timing will no longer pay any change fee, only the fare difference, if any. Any change must be requested up to 4 hours before the flight online at www.vivaaerobus.com, or by dialing the Call Center (toll-free) +1 866 FLY VIVA (+1866 359 8482), or at any Viva Tienda in Mexico.

“Our new nonstop flights from Houston to Leon are part of our growth strategy and our commitment to offer new destinations to our passengers, giving a new choice to travel safely between two strong economic and tourist centers for business, leisure or visiting friends and relatives, considering the significant Hispanic community in Houston”, mentioned Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus. “We bring closer and safer than ever these two cities with an affordable, reliable, and flexible service”, he added.
