Harry rejoins royals for Philip’s funeral procession

Britain’s Prince Harry, joined his brother Prince William and other members of the Royal Family on Saturday (April 17) for the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip.

The funeral was held at St George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle, where Harry married his wife Meghan in 2018, and marks the first time the prince has met his family since the couple gave an explosive interview to Oprah Winfrey in March.

Meghan watched the funeral the couple’s home in California, United States, after she was advised by her doctor not to travel while pregnant, a source familiar with the situation said.

The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Meghan, known officially as the Duchess of Sussex, had hoped to attend the funeral but she was not cleared for travel by her physician.

Much media attention has focussed on the royals’ behaviour towards Harry.

The two princes walked in the procession behind Philip’s four children and separated by their cousin Peter Phillips, but were seen talking casually to one another after the service.

Harry and Meghan moved to Los Angeles and quit royal duties last year.
