Body wrapped in tarp found inside home in Missouri City

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after a body was found wrapped in a tarp inside a home in the Missouri city area.

Sergeant J. Horn with the Houston Police Department said a woman in the 16500 block of Quail Prairie Drive called police to the residence, seeking help going inside and getting her belongings.

She told police she was previously assaulted and did not feel safe going inside alone.

As they entered the residence, they located a man’s body wrapped in a tarp and covered with blankets behind a couch in the living room.

The woman told police she doesn’t know who the deceased male is.

Police said the male who previously assaulted her is believed to be in jail due to an unrelated case.

The identity of the person is still unknown. Investigators are working to learn more details about the incident.
