“Rolling to Remember” motorcycle rally rides through Washington to highlight plight of troubled vets

Motorcycles rolled through Washington on Sunday (May 30) to raise awareness of issues facing veterans in the U.S. “Rolling to Remember” hopes to shine a spotlight on veteran suicide prevention and increase efforts to locate POW’s (Prisoners of war) and MIA’s (Missing in Action) service members.

“Rolling to Remember” is an offshoot of Rolling Thunder where thousands of motorcycles descended on Washington, D.C. every Memorial Day weekend fore three decades to pay tribute to fallen and missing-in-action soldiers. The group which became synonymous with the annual Memorial Day celebration in the nation’s capital officially ended its run in 2019.
