Two injured during home invasion in Southwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY – Harris County Sherrif’s Office is looking for two suspected intruders after they wreaked havoc inside an elderly man’s apartment in southwest Harris County.

After receiving reports of the shooting inside an apartment complex on Empanada Drive, HCSO deputies arrived at the scene where they found a person with a gunshot wound.

As per initial information, two intruders pistol-whipped an elderly resident and then shot his friend in lower torso before fleeing from the location.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted that the gunshot victim has been taken to a hospital in serious condition.  

Further investigation is underway.
