HOUSTON – Police are looking for a woman’s boyfriend and her three children after she was found dead at an apartment complex in north Houston.
Houston Police Department said the woman’s boyfriend called on 911 and said the woman short herself at an apartment complex near West Montgomery.
Arriving units saw there was force entry at the doorway, and found the body of a woman in her 20s, covered in a sheet.
Officers made their way inside and located a female with a gunshot wound to the lower chin.
She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Houston police could not confirm whether the woman’s death was a murder or suicide.
The woman’s boyfriend who is described as a black male in his late 50s was not at the scene when officers arrived. He took off, possibly with the woman’s three kids, police said.
“It’s suspicious. He left in her car. We don’t know. He didn’t wait at the scene to talk to us. It’s very suspicious. Homicide is en route,” Lt. E Pavel said. “Our main concern right now is the three kids, trying to get ahold of the family to see where the three kids are. We want to make sure they’re not with person of interest.”
Police said the man is driving a gold Toyota Camry with paper tags.
Investigation is underway.
