Family survive house fire at Herongate Drive

HOUSTON – A family is safe after a house caught fire in the 15000 block of Herongate Drive.

When Cy-Fair FD crews arrived at the location, they found smoke coming out from a single-story house. Crews were able to control the blaze after making a quick attack.

According to a resident, the fire started in a room to the back of the house and it was contained to that room. Other parts of the house suffered some damage from the smoke.

Reportedly, all occupants were able to exit the residence along with their two dogs.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
