Man calls for help at gas station after being shot along South Loop

HOUSTON – Authorities are trying to determine cause of the shooting after a man was shot several times while driving along the South Loop early Monday. 

According to police, the victim was travelling on the South Loop W when someone opened fire at him, hitting him multiple times.

The victim was able to reach a nearby gas station where he called for help.

Houston Fire Department moved him to the hospital. He is expected to survive. 

Houston police officers also arrived at the hospital to interview the victim and obtain information regarding the suspect.
