HARRIS COUNTY – HCSO deputies are investigating after a man was shot and killed by a security guard during altercation in east Harris County Tuesday night.

The incident was reported in front of a Walgreen’s on Uvalde Road around 8:10 p.m.

According to investigators, a Hispanic male was waiting outside the store while his 12-year-old daughter was shopping inside.

For some reason, the store’s security guard and the man got into an argument which turned into physical altercation and at some point, the security guard discharged his weapon at the male.

The security guard claimed that the man assaulted him first, however, authorities are trying to determine reason behind the fight.

Investigators don’t believe the altercation was over possibly stealing items.
