Teen shot dead inside convenience store in southeast Houston

HOUSTON – A suspect has been detained after a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed inside a convenience store in southeast Houston Monday night. 

Houston police responded to reports of a panic alarm in the 9600 block of Scott Street around 10:10 p.m. 

As officers arrived at the location, they found a male suspect inside the business with at least two firearms.

He was taken into custody without incident.

The victim was transported to a nearby trauma center in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Investigation is underway.
