HOUSTON – A female driver was killed in a fiery crash on Gulf Freeway early Friday.
Witnesses told police the woman was traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash happened around 3:37 a.m.
Investigators believe the victim attempted to exit the freeway but ended up crashing into one of the HOV lane’s concrete pillars. The car burst into flames soon after the impact.
At the moment, it is unclear if the victim was intoxicated.
The outbound feeder road was closed by the Vehicular Crimes Division for investigation.
