Bicyclist killed in crash on Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON – An adult male bicyclist has died after being struck by two vehicles in north Harris County Thursday night. 

According to details, the victim was attempting to walk a bicycle across southbound lanes on the Eastex Freeway West to East when he was struck by a sedan in the third lane.

That vehicle stopped and remained at the scene. 

Meanwhile, another vehicle attempted to swerve and was able to miss the male but hit the bicycle.

A third vehicle, a truck, was unable to avoid striking the male in the road.

Both vehicles also remained at the scene.

Police said none of the drivers showed signs of intoxication. At this time there are no charges to any of the drivers.
