Bicyclist struck, killed by car on Sunbeam Street

HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a bicyclist was struck and killed by a car in the 5500 block of Sunbeam Street Monday evening. 

HPD VCD is investigating to determine how the accident happened. 

After the crash, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Investigators say the roadway is narrow and poorly lit, which may have played a role in the crash.
