Man killed during argument at northwest Houston home

HOUSTON – A suspect has been taken into custody after he allegedly shot and killed a man inside a residence in northwest Houston Thursday night. 

The shooting was reported in the 800 block of Green Meadow Lane around 10:14 p.m.

Police were told that there was an altercation between the victim and the suspect.

During the altercation, the male suspect, who is believed to be in his 50’s, shot the victim. 

Arriving HPD units were able to talk the suspect to come outside. The suspect stepped outside with the firearm and placed the firearm down.

He was then taken into custody. 

According to police, the victim is the adult son of the owner of the house. There were three female witnesses inside the house at the time of the shooting.

Investigation is underway.
