Man shot dead near truck in Greater Heights area

HOUSTON – Police are looking for a suspect after a man was shot and killed in Greater Heights area Tuesday night. 

According to Precinct 1, the shooting occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Oxford Street. 

A man was walking to the truck when a suspect, who lives nearby, opened fire on the victim, killing him on the spot.

Precinct 1 deputies heard the shooting and got on location to render aid before HFD’s arrival. 

The suspect is believed to have fled south on Oxford Street. 

Investigation is underway.
