Police officers attacked during arrest of rapper inside Houston strip club

HOUSTON – An attempt to take a rapper into custody inside a strip club turned into a brawl Thursday night. 

The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. as Houston police entered the Dynasty Headquarters club on N. Shepherd to take a rapper into custody on an aggravated assault charge. 

Meanwhile, patrons and friends of the rapper began attacking officers.

Additional units were sought for assistance and the man was eventually taken into custody.

Two officers and the suspect suffered minor injuries, officers at the scene said.

All were treated around the corner at the UMMC Hospital.
