Suspect in custody after SWAT standoff on Plymouth Street

HOUSTON – A suspect has been taken into custody after a SWAT situation at 418 Plymouth Street on Wednesday. 

Initially, HPD units received a call about a suspicious person in the 400 block of Dorchester Street.

Officers in the area located a vehicle that matched the description. The suspect then fled on foot and ran into a residence.

According to police, the suspect was wanted for multiple felony warrants and was armed with a firearm.

SWAT team responded to the scene and at some point the suspect tried to flee on foot but was apprehended by a K9 unit.

The suspect was treated at the scene for his dog bite.
