Vehicle crashes into restaurant on Kirby Drive

HOUSTON – A DWI investigation has been initiated against a woman after she crashed her vehicle into a restaurant in the 2800 block of Kirby Drive early Tuesday.

After receiving reports of the crash, Houston police officers and fire department crews responded to the scene and found a solo vehicle crashed into the building.

They found one female occupant inside the vehicle who remained unhurt in the incident.

Officers believe the woman was impaired, and a DWI investigation has been launched. She has been taken to JPC for further evaluation.

A witness told journalists that he saw the woman’s vehicle crashing into the building, and she still had her foot on the gas pedal after the impact.
