Fauci tells Sen. Paul his accusations “kindle the crazies” and spark death threats

Dr. Anthony Fauci and Senator Rand Paul once again clashed during a Senate hearing on Tuesday (January 11). 

Fauci blamed Paul’s false accusations against him for death threats he has received. Fauci cited an incident in December of 2021 when he said police stopped a man traveling to the capital to “kill Dr. Fauci.” Fauci said authorities discovered an AR-15 and multiple magazines of ammunition in his vehicle because “he thinks that maybe I’m killing people.”

“What happens when he gets out and accuses me of things that are completely untrue is that all of a sudden that kindles the crazies out there and I have life, threats upon my life, harassment of my family and my children,” Fauci said. 

Fauci and Paul have clashed at previous Coronavirus hearings over mask wearing and origins of the Coronavirus.
