TEENAGER GAVE BIRTH, INFANT FOUND DEAD AT MOBILE HOME PARK

SOUTHWEST HOUSTON

Authorities are investigating after the remains of an infant were found buried at a mobile home park in southwest Houston Today in the 3500 block of Darlinghurst.

According to the Investigators, a 17-year-old went to a hospital complaining about abdominal pain. The teen notified hospital staff that she had given birth on Monday and the infant was not alive and that she buried the body at her home. It was determined the teen was about 25-weeks pregnant when she delivered.

Police said it’s not clear if the premature baby was alive at the time of delivery, or if the teen had a miscarriage. Investigators said the teen’s family and friends did not know she was pregnant.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the infant’s cause of death.

Investigators found an unearthed patch of ground where the body had been placed.
