Bicyclist fatally struck on Highway 6

HOUSTON – A bicyclist was killed Sunday night on Highway 6 and Briar Forest Drive in west Houston.

HPD said an Audi traveling northbound on Highway 6 struck the male bicyclist who was crossing the highway outside of a crosswalk. The driver then stopped at the intersection and called 911.

Police said he remained at the scene and was not impaired.

All traffic was closed on Highway 6 while the investigation was conducted.
