Four injured in shooting outside nightclub in Third Ward

HOUSTON – At least four people have been injured during a shooting outside a nightclub in the Third Ward early Thursday.

According to HPD, officers received a shooting in progress call around at around 1:00 a.m. outside Spivey’s Famous Bistro in the 3000 block of Blodgett Street.

When officers arrived, they located one victim, who is bouncer of the club, with a gunshot wound to the hand. Three other victims were also transported to the nearby hospitals.

According to investigators, the shooting took place 10 minutes after a fight started inside the club. The disturbance was taken outside and several people pulled out guns and began shooting.

All victims are male in their 30s and are expected to survive.

The club was promoting a biker event when the shooting occurred

HPD Major Assaults is handling the investigation and will be looking through surveillance footage.
