Man shot dead during possible drug deal in northeast Houston

HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is searching for the person who shot and killed a man in northeast Houston Sunday night.

The incident happened around 11:00 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 5300 block of Collingsworth Street.

HPD officers arrived and located a male in his 20s deceased at the scene.

Officers believe the shooting could be a result of a botched drug deal.

Homicide detectives are handling the investigation.
