Good Samaritan helps unconscious Precinct 4 deputy

HOUSTON – A good Samaritan helped an unresponsive precinct 4 deputy who was experiencing a medical emergency.

According to deputies, the man found the deputy unconscious but breathing in his patrol car at the Hockley Recreational Complex just before 2:30 AM on Thursday.

The man started speaking Spanish on the deputy’s radio.

After moments of confusion, a Spanish-speaking deputy was able to get a phone number from the man and then called him.

Precinct 4 and EMS responded to the scene where medical crews worked on the deputy and determined it was best to airlift him to the hospital.

Minutes later, Washington County Air Med responded and transported him to the Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Condition of the deputy is unknown at this time.
