HOUSTON – Two Houston police officers got injured in separate crashes near the Galleria area.
The first crash happened on the West Loop at 59.
According to HPD, an officer was responding to a crash when a driver rear-ended the officer’s petrol car. Investigators believe the driver was under the influence.
Another crash was reported at Post Oak and Hidalgo. An officer present on a crash site after a jeep hit the curb. Meanwhile, a Honda lost control and struck the officer, two wrecker drivers and another driver standing outside at the Richmond Exit.
The HPD officer and the driver of the second crash have been transported to nearby trauma centers.
Condition of both HPD officers is said to be stable.
