Woman detained for stealing Metro PD patrol vehicle

HOUSTON – A woman has been detained after she stole a marked Metro PD patrol vehicle from the Fannin South Park and Ride.

Based on limited information available at the scene, the female crashed into the gate on Bellfort and fled from the officers. She was ultimately apprehended a short time later on 59 southbound near Shepherd.

No indications of any injuries to officers, and the female was evaluated by BFD. The suspect will be taken by Metro PD to be booked.
