Man dies after accidental shooting on Rosewood Street

HOUSTON – Police have launched probe after a man was accidentally shot and killed inside an apartment on Rosewood Street near Texas Southern University.

According to investigators, the victim and two other males were inside an apartment unit.

One of the males was showing his pistol to his friends. At some point, the gun went off and the young adult male was hit somewhere on the side.

The two friends attempted to render first aid.

As they were trying to leave with the victim in a vehicle, HFD arrived and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital but he could not survive.

All individuals involved in the incident are cooperating with investigators.
