Man shot dead by intruder at east Houston apartment

HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed by a masked intruder inside an apartment in east Houston early Wednesday.

The shooting happened around 2:20 a.m. in the 12200 Flemming Drive.

According to HPD, the victim, possibly in his early 20s, was located deceased inside of the apartment with gunshot wounds.

The victim’s common-law wife told that she was in a back room feeding their baby when she heard commotion and then gunshots. An individual then confronted her in the room wearing a black mask and hoodie. Words were exchanged and the suspect then fled the scene.

At this time, there is no known motive of the shooting. The female is cooperating with authorities.
