Man shot during argument over money in west Houston

HOUSTON – A man is recovering in the hospital after he was shot during an argument over money in west Houston Friday morning.

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Crossview Drive. HPD officers arrived at the location and found a male in his mid 30s with at least one gunshot wound to the chest.

Police told that the victim was walking out of a store with his niece when he noticed the suspect and another woman. They got into an argument about somebody owing another person some money.

Police said the victim tried to run up on the suspect and that’s when the man turned around and fired. A female witness reported she heard three gunshots.

The suspect is described as a male black with dreadlocks, skinny, around 5’10” to 6′ tall, wearing all black with red shoes.
Investigation is underway.
