Woman rescued from donation box on W Tidwell Road

HOUSTON – Houston police and HFD crews were called to rescue a woman who got trapped inside a clothing donation box Wednesday morning.

The incident was reported around 3:40 a.m. on West Tidwell Road.

It took firefighters about 20 to 30 minutes to cut the box open and free the woman. The woman reported she was attempting to get clothing for her baby.

Later, HPD provided the woman with resources and assistance.
