Driver shot dead in north Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY – A male driver was killed after a gunman opened fire on his vehicle in north Harris County Wednesday night.

In a tweet, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said that an occupant inside one vehicle shot into another vehicle multiple times in the 12200 block of W. Village Drive.

He said a black male possibly in his early 30’s was struck multiple times. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to investigators, evidence at the location showed an assault rifle was possibly used in the incident.

At this time, there is no suspect description. The motive of the shooting is being investigated.
