Man shot during robbery in SW Houston

HOUSTON – Houston police are searching for three suspects after a man was shot during robbery in southwest houston Wednesday night.

A female heard the gunshot around 11:40 p.m. as she was driving by in the 6300 block of Willers Way. The woman stopped and helped the man and called 911.

Officers arrived and found a Hispanic male with a gunshot wound to his left thigh.

Officers learned that three black male suspects approached the victim and demanded his wallet which he handed over but the victim was shot when he refused to give his phone.

The suspects then fled on foot.

Police told that the victim is expected to survive. It is unclear how much currency was taken from the victim.
