A late spring snowfall continued to blanket parts of Colorado on Saturday (May 21) after temperatures plummeted across the state.
The wintery conditions left tens of thousands without power, local media reported.
Video showed snow flurries coming down in Denver’s Botanic Gardens and snow-covered trees in the Rocky Mountains in Park County.
The threat of heavy snow led the Colorado Rockies to postpone its game with the New York Mets scheduled for Friday at Denver’s Coors Field.
The unseasonal cold in Colorado comes as a heat wave grips the Eastern United States.
