HOUSTON – At least three people including two women were injured during a shootout on Edgebrook Drive.
According to HPD, occupants of a white vehicle and a blue Malibu started shooting at each other in a parking lot of a church near a taco truck.
One suspect fled on foot northbound and is described as a black male wearing a long sleeve green shirt with hoodie.
The blue Malibu fled the scene but was pulled over by a Precinct 8 constable a few blocks away. There were three occupants in the Malibu. One was shot in the back and transported by ambulance while the other two that were in the vehicle have been detained.
HPD said two females were also hit at the scene of the shooting. One is a taco truck employee who was hit in the eye. She had nothing to do with either party. The other was a female was hit in the hand but it’s unknown if she had any connection with the shooting.
All injured persons are expected to survive.
