Man shot dead, woman injured in shootout outside convenience store

HOUSTON – A man was killed and a woman got injured during a shootout outside a convenience store in northwest Houston Wednesday night.

This happened just after 10 p.m. in the 7900 block of De Priest Street.

Officers told that the victim was standing outside the store when the suspect approached him. The victim showed his gun to the suspect and that is when they started shooting at each other.

The male complainant was struck in the head and a woman was struck in the lower half of her body. Both were transported by private auto to the hospital.

The male victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital while the woman’s condition is unknown at this time.
